As the title says this is a very unusual CD. For a start it contains a first world recording of Manuel de Falla’s early cello piano pieces. A very special and romantic start. Then the vast Villa-Lobos second Sonata , very difficult to find in any CD catalogue. A world premier by young avant garde Spanish composer Seco de Arpe. Finally music by Tansman, mainly known for his guitar music but here we have a rare opportunity to discover more about his beautiful compositions. |
