Giovanni Paolo Foscarini hat als Komponist, aber auch als selbstinszenierte Persönlichkeit seine Spuren in der Gitarrenwelt hinterlassen. Sowohl Giovanni Battista Granata als auch Gaspar Sanz erwähnen seinen Einfluss in ihren Gitarrenbüchern.
"The Foscarini Experience", von dem Gitarristen Frank Pschichholz ins Leben gerufen, war schon lange begeistert von den rätselhaften Schriften Foscarinis. Frank Pschichholz experimentierte mit verschiedenen Besetzungen und fand schließlich zur heute altbewährten Besetzung Gitarre, Bass und Percussion, so mitreißend gespielt, dass man sich die Musik Foscarinis anders gar nicht vorstellen kann. Frank Pschichholz wird selbst zu Il Furioso, virtuos und akzentuiert spielend sieht man ihn als Foscarini von Frankreich nach Italien ziehen, begleitet vom vielseitigen Violonespieler Daniel Zorzano und den perkussiven Künsten Nora Thieles.

Geistliche Vokalmusik von Johannes Weyrauch
Das Leipziger Vocalensemble, 1976 durch den jetzigen Thomaskantor Georg Christoph Biller und weitere ehemalige Thomaner gegründet, widmet sich neben der Pflege der Vokalwerke Johann Sebastian Bachs insbesondere der Aufführung selten zu hörender zeitgenössischer geistlicher Chormusik. Die Werke des Leipziger Komponisten Johannes Weyrauch (1897 - 1977), der in hohem Alter noch regen Anteil an der Arbeit des Leipziger Vocalensembles nahm, haben den Chor von Anfang an begleitet und geprägt. Weyrauchs Musik zeichnet sich aus durch Klarheit, Vermeidung alles Überflüssigen und Anwendung sparsamer, einfacher musikalischer Mittel. Vor allem im Spätwerk des Komponisten zeigt sich ein starkes meditatives Element.

Thirty largely original instruments in the hands of music-making angels in Freiberg Cathedral are unique evidence of Saxon musical-instrument-making in the sixteenth century. Copies were made of the angels’ instruments - cornetts, trombones, shawms, triangle, tambourine, harps, citterns, violins and lutes - during the course of a research project. Their sound can be rediscovered on this CD of late-Renaissance instrumental and vocal works from Saxony. Musica Freybergensis is a hand-picked group of musicians chosen by Music Instrument Museum of Leipzig University and Raumklang for the purpose of practical research into the sound of the Freiberg instruments. Before making this recording a number of concerts were presented over the period of a year, including one in Freiberg Cathedral, giving the musicians time to break in the instruments, to become accustomed to them, and to discover their possibilities. |

The traditional music of Georgia is the only music in the world to be under UNESCO protection. The music of Georgia is at its origins polyphonic. That none of the neighbouring countries have produced anything similar, eliminates the possibility that Georgians were directly influenced by other musical cultures. The Antchis Chati Choir has set itself the goal of reconstructing the Georgian repertoire in its original form. Its members maintain contacts with Georgian music experts all over the country. They often travel to villages, to record the song variations that are still sung today.
In summer 2003 Raumklang (Sebastian Pank) travelled to Georgia and met there beside the Antchis Chati Choir the Tsinandali Choir and three older singers from Guria. This recording was produced with an emergency generator in an old monastery, an abandoned cinema, and a former cultural centre. With this CD one can travel through Georgia in a musical way. From the powerful songs of Kachetia, Kartli and Megrelia - songs of love, about the host, wedding songs, an ancient field work song and others - to the sacred music from the Schemokmedi monastery. |

Alexej Tolstoi erzählt die Geschichte von Burattino voll Wärme und russischer Fabulierlust. Auf der ersten CD der neuen nahörmal Edition von RAUMKLANG lässt uns das Kindersprechensemble in seiner Version die gefährlichen Abenteuer des kleinen Holzjungen hautnah erleben.
Der Darstellungskraft der jungen Künstler gelingt es, uns Hörer (selbst langjährige und unverbesserlich Erwachsene) in eine Welt mitzunehmen, in der die Augenhöhe der Hörer die gleiche ist wie die der Akteure. Wir Erwachsene müssen uns etwas bücken. Tun wir dies jedoch (und es fällt uns angesichts des leidenschaftlichen Spiels der Kinder leicht) werden wir reich belohnt. Eine neue, alte Wirklichkeit entfaltet sich vor unseren Ohren. Wir erinnern uns …
Seit 2000 arbeiten die jungen Sprecher des Kindersprechensembles „Nahörmal“ mit der Schauspielerin Conny Wolter.
Grundlage der Ensembleproben ist die Improvisation. Das spontane Erspielen frei erfundener Szenen schafft große Freiräume für die Dialog- und Textarbeit. Neben der regelmäßigen Probenarbeit produziert das Ensemble eigene Hörspiele. |
