Just as in the first three albums, the series MASTERS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC (vol. 1 - GD 245, vol. 2 - GD 246, vol. 3 - GD 247) continues to present composers from different epochs and their ever-loved works. The present programme features pieces written over a vast period of time. Even though each composer represents a different trend in music, they are all united by the eternity of their work. All of them were innovators in music and influenced their followers to a great extent: from the representatives of the Vienna classical school (Mozart and Beethoven), to the author of the first German romantic opera (Weber), the most outstanding comic opera composer (Rossini), up to Elgar, who worked in the beginning of the 19th and the end of the 20th c.
