Nikolai Petrov (1943 - 2011), was an outstanding musician, one of the most famous world representatives of the modern Russian piano school, deservedly takes his place among the most remarkable musicians of our time.
From the very beginning of his concert activity, critics noted a truly powerful musical talent, capable of conveying lyrical revelations and powerful emotional outbursts; the "monumental virtuosity" of his piano playing; easy and free sound production and impeccable taste. Petrov was applauded by the audience of the most prestigious concert halls, such as Carnegie Hall and Albert Hall, Lincoln Center and Kennedy Center, Concertgebouw, Colon Theater and many others.
