Samuil Feinberg’s work is a unique phenomenon in the history of Russian music. A composer, pianist, and teacher of extraordinary depth and originality, he combined in his art an unparalleled versatility.
To truly understand Russian pianism and the spirit of Russian Art Nouveau in music, one cannot pass by the figure of Feinberg. Yet, despite his importance, his legacy is too rarely remembered today.
