| Jeho/jej ivot: Was a Finnish composer and pianist. He studied with Erkki Melartin, Jean Sibelius and Selim Palmgren.
Kaski was awarded a Pro Finlandia medal in 1950. The 72-year-old composer died on 20 Sep 1957 - Sibelius died that same day at the age of 91.
Kaski thought his main work was his sole symphony (1919). Other output includes piano music, songs and sonates for violin, cello and flute. |
