Maria Veniaminovna Yudina (1899 - 1970) was a Soviet pianist. Yudina's playing was marked by great virtuosity, spirituality, strength and intellectual rigor, with a highly idiosyncratic style and tone. She was an extensively performing performer who performed mainly in recitals or in a chamber ensemble. Her interests included, first of all, the latest Russian and world music: Yudina was the first performer in the USSR of a number of works by A. Berg, P. Hindemith, E. Kshenek, B. Bartok, A. Webern, O. Messiaen, and others.

Maria Yudina was one of the non-conforming artists. Her performance style, as well as her overall philosophical and aesthetical views on the nature of creativity, were very often at loggerheads with the established norms, which provoked a strong reaction in academic musical circles, causing a rejection of her art. Unlike many of her contemporaries, Yudina was critical of the 'romantic' treatment of the piano. The music of Bach, which she admired all her life, has a special place in her legacy. Yudina's immediately recognisable hand (the extremely prominent articulation, the expressiveness of narration, the fervent grandeur of her musical 'speech') gives the preludes and fugues a subjectively powerful character, where the asceticism and meaningfulness of thought combine to form an integral artistic whole.

Samuil Feinberg’s work is a unique phenomenon in the history of Russian music. A composer, pianist, and teacher of extraordinary depth and originality, he combined in his art an unparalleled versatility.
To truly understand Russian pianism and the spirit of Russian Art Nouveau in music, one cannot pass by the figure of Feinberg. Yet, despite his importance, his legacy is too rarely remembered today.
This publication revives his voice, presenting Feinberg both as a brilliant interpreter of Beethoven and as a composer of remarkable individuality - through his Piano Suite No. 2 and *Piano Concerto No. 2.
This album highlights Feinberg’s triple role - as a master pianist, inspired composer, and interpreter of genius. Through these recordings, listeners can rediscover the artistry of a musician whose name belongs among the greatest of the 20th century.

The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart stands as one of the greatest jewels of the Classical era - a time that embraced the ideals of the Enlightenment, rediscovered the aesthetic principles of antiquity, and occupied a place between the Renaissance, which laid the foundation of European cultural identity, and Romanticism, which celebrated the world of human emotion and passion. Mozart emerged as a true innovator, masterfully combining rational clarity with emotional depth. He reinterpreted the legacy of his predecessors, elevating an array of genres - from instrumental and vocal miniatures to symphonies and operas - to new heights.
This refined understanding of Mozart’s style is beautifully demonstrated by pianist Natalia Bogdanova and the “The Season” Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Vladislav Bulakhov. In the present program, the performers explore pages of Mozart’s oeuvre dedicated to the genre of the piano concerto, presenting three carefully selected works.
In the interpretation by Natalia Bogdanova and Vladislav Bulakhov, the concerto reflects the words of German critic Friedrich Rochlitz, who once described the concerto as “the pinnacle of delicacy in music,” in contrast to the symphony, which he called “the pinnacle of the grand.” With finesse and clarity, the performers convey the poetic spirit of Mozart’s world, where simplicity turns into profundity and lightness into philosophical contemplation.
